Message from Chris Elson, Upstream's Chairperson

On behalf of Upstream's Board of Directors, I'd like to express my enthusiasm for the 2020-2021 programme which will be unique, adapted to the circumstances, and very worthy of your attention and support. 

Our upcoming season will be officially announced on September 27th at the Music Room. There will be a performance that evening by our own Upstream Quartet. The Music Room's COVID-19 protocols are in place and we can safely enjoy a live performance there with reduced audience capacity. I know that I am craving the opportunity to hear live music and encourage you all to come out on the 27th and to subsequent shows! 

Supporting Upstream right now would be a marvellous way to show your support for the performing arts and for musicians and others who have struggled with restrictions and reduced opportunities during the pandemic emergency. Please consider joining the association and making a donation, small or large, for use toward our annual operations or for our wonderful annual Paul Cram Creation Award in support of creative composers and improvisors.
