2007 - 2010 - regular concert season
2007 - last sonic Courage Festival
2005/06 - stabilization of Sonic Courage Concert Series and Sonic Courage Festival (formerly Spring Fever)
2003/04 – greater integration of local, national and international performers
achieved through more outreach and collaborative concerts. Start of Annual Spring Fever Festival
June 2003 – Upstream Orchestra at Scotia Festival /Francois Houle commission
September 2002 – concerted effort to achieve a balance of local, national and international
October 2001 – Instigation of Open Rehearsal Series to enthusiastic response from the community.
June 2001- 1st performance with Upstream Orchestra at the Scotia Festival of Music with international artist Barry Guy conducting his new composition “Nasca Lines.”
2001 - Commissioned Barry Guy to write for the Upstream Orchestra.
December 2000 – formation a of the brand-new 22 piece Upstream Orchestra and inaugural concerts at the Sir James Dunn Theatre, Dalhousie Arts Centre.
2000 – Open Waters Festival- first orchestra/Barry guy collaboration.
1999 – Open Waters Festival.
1998 – Open Waters Festival.
1997 – First Collaboration with full Symphony Nova Scotia and Peter Lieberson
1995 – Beginnings of Upstream Orchestra as a 17-piece ensemble
1993 – Toured Ontario and performed at the New Music Across America Festival.
May 1990 – Inaugural concert with the resident Upstream Ensemble at Saint Mary’s University Art Gallery. The Ensemble continued to perform up to 2001 with an average of 3 to 4 concerts per year overall.
