SIDEband - four musicians creating new music together

SIDEband is a unique quartet of four young female musicians all involved in new creation and improvisation. Their music is haunting and intimate. We are so privileged to witness their intense collaboration in person.

With members having played with groups such as New Hermitage, the Alkali Ensemble, and Paper Beats Scissors, as well as a range of ensembles spanning jazz, rock, classical, trad folk, early music and experimental styles, the musicians of  SIDEband bring a wealth of vocabulary and depth of instrumental colour to their improvised musical offerings.
